Keystone Project Houston Prayer Team

Hello, friends!

Here is the long promised introductory e-mail for the Keystone Project Houston Team’s intercessory prayer effort! We are excited to get this started and equally grateful for your willingness to partner with us! God is doing incredible things and you are an important part of it.

Many of you have been praying for different members of our team for quite some time. Thank you for your commitment to labor in prayer for us. If you are just now getting to know us, check out our website: http://www.keystoneproject.org/. Here you’ll find information about the Keystone Project as a whole, our mission and vision, as well as a description of our mission team in Houston.

As we have prayerfully considered goals for this year, we realized a need for a more specific and intense covering in prayer. God is challenging us to pursue Him more and more deeply in five particular areas. In short, these areas are as follows:

1. Leadership Transition – Raising up leaders who will share God’s vision for discipleship.

2. Replacing ourselves – Equipping those leaders to take on the work for their own people to the point that they no longer need us.

3. Long-Term Solutions to "Lift the Curse" – A practical and sustainable means of relieving the poverty of the refugee/immigrant population

4. Launching a Second Team in Houston – We believe God is calling us to send a second team into a different area of the city.

5. Specific and Strategic “Spa” Ministry – We have started the process of going into the two brothels on our street focusing not only on rescuing these women, and men, from their physical and spiritual bondage, but also on discipling them in following God’s heart and vision.

As you can see, we have a lot of ground to cover! We would be foolish to try to do this on our own. That’s where you come in!

You are receiving this message because you have informed a member of our team that you were interested in joining us in this work through prayer and would like to receive more information. If God is calling you to come alongside us, then we are asking you for at least one day a month of intentionally focused prayer for our team and the work that God is doing here in Houston.

Ideally, there would be at least one person doing battle with us through prayer every day. Obviously, the more the merrier!

Our commitment to you is that we will get you the most up to date information possible so that you can pray informed. To do that, we are trying to take advantage of technology that is available to us.

So to get started, please fill out this web form (with only 5 questions) to help us with scheduling by clicking on this link: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1ujy3TWhDsqLvK1rjs2jhiG99-uUGW_9NKZFI3EX2ROs/viewform

Thank you so much for your partnership, if you have and questions, please feel free to contact me; I am serving as the prayer coordinator for the Keystone Houston Team.

Prayer Requests:

1. Pray for team transition—the team members leaving & their new transition. For the families that are here that we need to work with. For Ashika our Neapli leader to be knit more deeply into our team. For wisdom on our part as we consider the next steps.

2. Pray for leadership for this year—we are transitioning several of areas of ministry & we need to do our part on raising up leaders. Pray also for our team as we believe that God is going to bring in new team members of the course of the year to accomplish His goals.

3. Continue to pray for the multiplication of disciples & groups. We have seen much growth in this area, but we believe that God wants more. Pray for disciples to continue to grow & reproduce. Pray also for the groups that are being formed with these disciples.

4. Please pray for the upcoming training with our 2nd, 3rd, & 4th generation disciples on the weekend of the 1st of Feb. Pray for their faithfulness in applying these lessons.

5. Pray for the new school—we need wisdom as we learn lessons preparing a path for the future. Pray for the students to be effective leaders, but also for us to create a system that is reproducible & effective at equipping them for the future.
