Commissioning the Rejoice Team

Thanks for all the prayers last week! Our time with the Rejoice team went really well. Our focus throughout the week was to give them a greater dependence on the voice, power and leading of the Holy Spirit. And that’s exactly what many of them said they will change as they go back home.

It was great to watch the Spirit work on their hearts each day and confirm the things we were teaching. One of the ladies had a dream one of the nights about a camera, and the next day they met and ministered to a person who shared a random story about her camera. They believed God was confirming this was a person that we should continue following up with.

Another from the team was convicted by a day of training which focused heavily on the leading of the Spirit. He had never experienced the voice of God before, but he wanted to become more obedient in that way. That evening as we prayed and listened with him, he felt the Spirit speak to him ‘Galatians 5:25’. He hadn’t read Galatians before, but he turned there and read the verse, “Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.” He was encouraged that God was confirming what he’d already been learning.

In addition to several other testimonies like these, we got to pray with a couple of the boys on the Rejoice team who had never officially accepted Christ into their lives. They had always just assumed that they were saved because they were involved with the church, but it had never evolved into a personal relationship with Christ.

Here’s Tim’s (the Rejoice team leader’s) response after the week. This was his 2nd year here.

“Had a phenomenal week in Houston with our Jr Highers! We were able to experience salvations, international ministry, the Holy Spirit in new ways, and so much more. Thank you to The Keystone Project Houston Team for being great hosts and investing into us! I pray that we are able to apply what we learned and experienced back here in Owasso. To God be the glory!”
